Rose B. Szperra

Rose B. Szperra, 74, of DuBois, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2000 at her home.
Rose had been a cook at the St. Charles School in DuBois, Travelers Restaurant in DuBois and the Friendly Manor Nursing Home in Nashville.  She was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church in DuBois, St. Theresa Altar Sodality and had been a church choir member.
She was born March 21, 1925 at DuBois, the daughter of Michael and Marcella (Kalisczwski) Kozielek.  She married Ernest Szperra on June 7, 1947 at St. Michael Church in Radom and he preceded her in death on May 3, 1962.  
She is survived by one son, James Szperra nd wife Mary Lynn of DuBois; three daughters, Janette Vicher and husband John of Arlington Heights, Mary Ann Fleischmann of Palatine and Catherine Fortag and husband Mike of Centralia; two sisters, Helen Glazik of Radom and Ann Pieszchalski and husband Leo of DuBois and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Michael; two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were Tuesday, February 22 at 10 a.m. at the St. Charles Catholic Church in DuBois.
Friends were able to call from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.  The Rosary was said at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Interment was in the St. Michael Cemetery at Radom.
